Michael Fischette, PE, CGD

Founder & Chief Executive Officer


Specializing in new construction and creative energy efficiency solutions for facilities and power plants, Mr. Fischette has led Concord a New Jersey Corporation since 1989. The firm has initiated, developed and implemented power plant, electrical transmission & distribution and energy efficiency and renewable energy projects that generated energy savings, carbon reduction, and jobs for New Jersey residents over the last 30 years.

From 1980 to 1989 Mr. Fischette worked in the power plant design industry engineering coal, gas fired combined cycle and nuclear plants. He was the Test Director for the Loss of Power and Loss of Coolant tests at Hope Creek Nuclear Station which demonstrated the plants ability to operate and safely shutdown during electric grid outage (early Microgrid).

Through his vision and strategic initiative Concord Engineering has been dedicated to the development of many energy policies and technologies in New Jersey.

Mr. Fischette is a frequent speaker and advisor on energy issues for many of the largest associations in New Jersey: such as NJSBA, ASBO, NJAC, League of Municipalities, LEUC, NJHEPS, NJAPPA.

In 2011, Mr. Fischette was appointed to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities’ Energy Master Plan Work Group by then President Lee Solomon and continues to be on the forefront of developing innovative financing and incentive solutions that shape energy policy and energy infrastructure design. In 2005 He advised the School Construction Corporation (SCC) on the use of Life Cycle Comparison for K-12 school HVAC design, and was an integral part of the EDA focus group for the CESCI program. In 2009 he spearheaded the development of the first ENERGY BANK in New Jersey for the Burlington County Bridge Commission. He also developed the Cape May Energy Master Plan which outlined a program to promote and finance onshore wind generation, solar and CHP within the county.
