Internships and Co-Ops
The goal of our program is to develop future engineering resources for our organization while providing support to our design engineers and educating students with real world experience. We structure the co-op assignments so that the candidates develop the ability with each new work term to accept an increasing level of complexity and self-reliance. Although we make no guarantee of employment, it is our goal to have our interns fully capable of stepping into a full-time engineering position within our organization by the end of the program or post-graduation.

Location: Offered in Voorhees, Philadelphia or Atlantic City

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Design Support for Senior Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and Project Manager.

  • Preparation and modification of engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Revit MEP or similar computed aided drawing software. (Training will be provided)

  • Preparation of Engineering Calculations Mechanical: heating and cooling loads, equipment performance and energy analysis; Electrical: short circuit calculations, load analysis, voltaje drop, etc.

  • Field work requiring survey of existing conditions, equipment capacities and building information.

  • Testing of HVAC and/or electrical equipment under direct supervision of Commissioning Agent.

  • Support of Senior Mechanical/Electrical Engineer and Project Manager for day-to-day tasks.

  • Interface with other departments within Concord such as commissioning, energy auditing, industrial power, transmission and delivery.


Desired skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office.

  • Working knowledge of computer application software. (Training will be provided if needed)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent-follow up skills.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Effective at working with other staff members in a fast-paced environment.

  • Pursuit of B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field required.

  • A minimum of a 3.0 GPA preferred.
