PLANNING FOR BETTER LEARNING
By working with Concord, universities and colleges
have achieved substantial energy savings. From energy master plans to
power projects, we provide solutions that concentrate on what should be
a priority in education: an environmentally sound campus setting.
At Princeton University, our campus-wide geothermal master plan
identified projected annual savings from Energy Conservation Measures of
almost $1 million and carbon dioxide reductions of 4,657 metric tons.
Like so many of our clients, Princeton University’s commitment to
environmental stewardship echoes Concord’s goal of creating sustainable
solutions by meeting life-cycle challenges.
• Montclair State University’s new combustion gas turbine for its
Combined Cooling Heating and Power plant will produce 50% less emissions
than the old unit.
• Raritan Valley Community College’s Central Utilities Plant will
generate more than 85% of its own electricity.
• Boiler decentralization at Cheyney State University resulted in 85%
energy efficiency in 18 campus buildings.
• Consolidating electrical services to a new 69kV substation at Rowan
University provided reliable power for a rapidly expanding campus.
